Betta Fish Names (For Girls & Boys)

Introduction:

Hello! I am Jaya, and I have two bettas, who are darling girls, (even though one killed the albino) and one is named Ripple, the other Kathy. The one who died (because Ripple killed her), was Snowcone. Here are some excellent names for your excellent fish! Let me know down in the comments:

For Boy Fish: The Elegant Ones

Charmer

The fish has quite a lot of charm, doesn't it? Also, this would be perfecto for a fish that greets you every time you walk in the room, and is quite interested in you. 

Elmaar 

Pronounced El-maaaar, kind of to show the elegance in the fins as he swims. Choose a fish that is big, but not too big, and then name it Elmaar!

Loreto

Meaning 'miracle', this is the perfect name for a sweet, elegant fish. Have a fish that zooms around the tank? Lorento. Perfect for him.

Prince

Really, Prince is a cute name. But people think it just should be for humans & highly wanted pets, such as cats. But really, Prince is a real beautiful name. Just try it out! Prince would probably suit the fish that are gold and blue, and slightly energetic, but not too energetic.

For Boy Fish: The Goofy Ones

Goofball

Goofy, darling fishies deserve goofy names, like Goofball! *laughing noises*. The name Goofball would probably be best if it were put on an energetic, sweet fish. 

Douglas

You can't say it without smiling, I tell you. Try! You can even make it sound goofier, if you make your voice high, then going low towards the end of the word! This name would be best for the ones with a silly smile most of the time. Like, how cute?

Garfield

This is a silly name, and have you ever read the Garfield books? They're funny! So, maybe you just want a Garfield in your home? Yeah. Garfield would probably suit a fish that has big eyes, kind of, and fins are not fully-grown, yet they are still not too small. 

For Girl Fish: The Elegant Ones

Elegance

You want an elegant name? I give you an elegant name! Elegance is a cute name, actually. Probably would be best for slow, adultish fish (you can tell if it is an adult (or at least kind of an adult) by looking at the fin length).

Beatrice

Now, I don't know why, but Beatrice just sounds like an elderly, elegant name for a fish that is a senior, kind of, and is lazy. Sorry, people named Beatrice! (and / or animals named Beatrice!)

Duchess

So I play this fun game, and in it, there's persian cats, toyger, tabby, siamese, tuxedo, and ragdoll. The persian was named Duchess, and it fit her personality. She's the oldest, the most elegant, kind of like a queen. So, if you have an adult, and they're kind of lazyish, but elegantly gobble up there food, then Duchess is a gorgeous name for a gorgeous fish. 

For Girl Fish: The Goofily Sweet Ones

Fuzzy

Since fish aren't fuzzy, it's a good joke! I don't know what fish would fit with a silly name like Fuzzy, so decide yourself! 

Sahara

I think this is a pretty darn adorable name, for a fish. Sahra, Sahara, same thing!

Probably would fit a gold-yellow fish, 'cause that looks like sand!

Cornell

Since this is a college, that means, your fishy is super smart!
