Guide Of What You Need For A: Guinea Pig!
Hello, Leafy Kitten Coco here! Are you a guinea-pig lover, and want a guinea pig SO badly, and your parents finally said yes? Or are you just looking for a companion in the adventures of life? Maybe you're parents agreed that you finally are old enough, and you should learn some responsibility, and that's why you were researching how to take care of a guinea pig?
Regardless of the reason, you should get a guinea pig. And if you don't have one, but REALLY REALLY REALLY want one, first let me tell you how to convince your parents. It's easy!
Step 1:
Casually bring up the subject of a guinea pig while you are eating dinner or something. Say something like, 'Mom? Dad? I was thinking, since I'm so mature and responsible, I could get a pet? I could take care of it! You wouldn't even have to do a thing!' If you already have a pet, and if your parents are like 'You already have a pet. Why can't you just work with [insert pet's name here]?' If you only have one pet, say this: 'Well, [insert pet's name here] is lonely, for sure. So [insert pet's gender here] probably wants a friend!' But if you have more then one pet, say this: 'I know a lot of facts on guinea pigs. And, they can have little meetings!' If your parents still say no, proceed to the following step.
Step 2:
If one of you have a fur allergy, make a designated space meant for the pig that no one else is allowed to come in except you and the pig. They say yes now, I bet, so proceed to the next step.
Step 3: (CRITACAL⚠): DON'T BUG THEM ABOUT IT!
Do NOT bug them about getting you a guinea pig! That is part of being responsible!
THE STUFF GUIDE:
Before taking home your prized pet, buy these things.
A CAGE! Make it at least two feet wide by four feet long for each guinea piggy.
TWO CERAMIC WATER & FOOD BOWLS! You may have heard people using a water bottle, but in my opinion, the good stuff doesn't get to the guinea pigs fast enough.
WOOD SHAVINGS! ASPEN WOOD SHAVINGS!
HAY FEEDER!
Hey! Hay is 80% of a guinea pigs diet!
PELLETS!
Put these bad boys into a guinea pig's food bowl, and you'll be good as golden!
TREATS!
Everyone needs a sweet treat every now and then. Feed them a treaty every week. Treats include blueberries, etc. Learn more here:
Okay, I think your all set. No, WAIT! You need chew toys and hidey houses! :)
