How To Take Care Of A Fish

Food For Your Fishy Friends*

Goldfish enjoy chopped vegetables for whatever reason. Maybe that means fish are healthier then us humans! You never know. Oh, and if you have any spare worms from your fishing trip last summer or gardening just a few months ago, they like that too. (Not the work. The worms.)

Platys are another kind of cute fish. They also like greens. Make sure to feed these cuties worms occasionally. Not every day, because that's like giving you fries for breakfast, fried chicken for lunch, fish n' chips for dinner, and ice cream for dessert. That's unhealthy for the fish. Make sure not to ever overfeed any of your pets. 

Some fish like eating meat. They can eat bugs such as cockroaches and mayflies. And they also like shrimp! But I believe all fish can live without meat. 

*All fish can eat fish food. That is a good choice too. So make sure to buy some at the pet store!

Lighting 

Buy a tank with fish lights in it. The fish can't survive without the fish lights. Many people don't know that there is such thing as fish lights, but there are and if you're getting a betta fish, watch out! Betta fish die if there is no fish light for some reason. I think it's because they are not warm enough. And don't fill the tank up with warm water. They need it, and I don't think that's gonna help. 

Airpumps

Did you think fish would need so many things? Nor did I. But here we are. Air pumps aren't required for a fish tank, as betta fish prefer still water and probably many other fish agree with them, it still helps them get more oxygen. And they're quite cheap; so maybe you could help your innocent fishy friend survive? Please? None of us would like to see them die, would we?
